The Loon Foundation has reimagined camp this year and we are thrilled to offer the Kids Art + Nature Camp for kids aged 6 – 12 at the Tranquility Garden in Madeira Park throughout July and August! Activities this year include hands-on art lessons, science and nature exploration, local field trips, creative play and more!
Our kids camp offers local and visiting children a fun and immersive learning experience where on-site mini-lessons are reinforced by extended periods of time spent outdoors, observing a diversity of critters and habitats through games, art, and journaling. Campers will utilize all of their senses to form emotional connections with nature and develop feelings of environmental stewardship and responsibility.
Our camps are held in the heart of Madeira Park behind our EarthFair store, where our calming garden space and PODS showroom offer relief from the elements if needed. We look forward sharing a camp experience to remember!
Camp registration is limited to 15 participants per week. Two staff members lead camp each day.
Camp Registration Policies
After registration an invoice will be emailed to you to set up payment by e-transfer to the Loon Foundation.
Payment must be made in full to hold a child’s spot. We cannot hold a spot without payment.
No refunds for cancellations within 14 days of camp. The Loon Foundation reserves the right to cancel a camp for any reason. Full refunds will be given in the event of a camp cancellation.
If your child is sick, please keep them home from camp. No refunds are issued for missed camp days. A credit may be issued for your child to attend a future day of camp.
Loon Foundation reserves the right to conclude a child’s participation in camp if there is behaviour that impacts the safety of fellow campers or camp leaders.
Please submit one registration form per child. A confirmation email will be sent with details for daily camp participation following registration.
We would like all families to have the opportunity to join our camps. Any additional donations help the Loon Foundation keep camp registration fees at an accessible rate.
