New Funding Equips Marine Research Station to Enhance Sunshine Coast Economy

We’re excited to share that the Loon Foundation has received $300,000 from Island Coastal Economic Trust, helping move the Pacific Ocean Discovery Station closer to opening! Support like this allows us to continue the careful work of building a space dedicated to learning, curiosity, and connection to our coastal ecosystems.

PODS has been shaped by years of planning, collaboration, and community interest, and each step forward brings us closer to welcoming people into a place designed for education, exploration, and shared experiences.
