Rocky Intertidal Survey at Baker Beach

Rocky intertidal habitats contain some of the heartiest creatures on earth. Long-term monitoring of intertidal organisms helps track changes in biodiversity, evaluate the impacts of environmental stressors, and inform conservation strategies to maintain ecosystem health and resilience. These surveys are completed over multiple days. Transects and quadrats are used to identify, count and record organisms found. If you would like to join in the survey, please email Jenn at jenn@loonfoundation.org for more information.
